Hey Reader,

I’ve been talking a lot about simplifying and streamlining, and it doesn’t get much simpler or more streamlined than the rule of one.

One audience. One offer. One message.

Massive expansion into all areas and markets might work for Jeff Bezos, but for mortals like us, focus is what matters.

Here’s what I’m eliminating from my workflows:

Content channels that distract rather than attract
“All inclusive” messaging that tries to appeal to everyone (and fails)
Projects that are out of alignment with the one audience I am called to serve

Looking at my business through the lens of “the rule of one,” I can see so much that is no longer a fit. It’s freeing to finally let it go. It gives me the space to make a massive investment in the things that really matter.
